WICHITA FALLS, Texas - No. 1 seed
Angel Palacios made the 2019 ITA South Central Region finals before coming up short to the No. 2 seed Anish Sriniketh of St. Edward's on Sunday afternoon at the MSU Tennis Courts.
Palacios began the final day of competition with a 6-1, 3-6, 6-3 semifinal win over the No. 4 seed Chase Bartlett of St. Edward's. But in the finals, Sriniketh got the best of the Midwestern State senior, downing him in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3.
Palacios can still qualify for the ITA Cup in Rome, Georgia later this month if he is selected as an at-large bid.
