Midwestern State leads the series 7-6-4 and is unbeaten over the last four meetings (3-0-1). This is the first meeting between the two sides since 2017.
MORLOCK'S MAGIC RIGHT FOOT
Imani Morlock scored her first goal of the season last Saturday, blasting one home from 35-yards out. Morlock became the sixth different Mustang to find the back of the net this season.
CARVAJAL'S CANNON
Although
Valentina Carvajal has not found the back of the net this season, the junior is tied with
Imani Morlock for the team lead in shots with 13. Carvajal collected her first assist of the year in Saturday's loss to No. 19 Dallas Baptist.
STUCK IN NEUTRAL
After a season opening win over New Mexico Highlands, the Mustangs have gone winless over their last seven games (0-6-1) and have lost five straight.
SPENDING TIME WITH SPENCE
Ryan Spence opened his second season as the Head Coach of the Midwestern State Women's Soccer team with a 3-2 overtime win over New Mexico Highlands on September 6. In his first year in charge, the Mustangs finished 2-13-3 and 1-9-2 in Lone Star Conference action, earning a trip to the quarterfinals in the LSC Postseason Tournament.
SCOUTING THE HILLTOPPERS
St. Edward's enters play riding a three-game winning streak. The Hilltoppers have outscored their opponents 15-1 during the streak. SEU opened the season with five consecutive 1-0 results (1-4) before blasting Texas A&M International on September 26, 6-0. Eli Chavez (three goals, three assists) has a team best nine points and 22 shots.
