CANYON, Texas – Winners of three of their last four, Midwestern State looks to continue their recent hot stretch on Halloween night against West Texas A&M. Match time is 5:30 p.m.
 
SERIES HISTORY
West Texas A&M owns a slight 23-20-3 edge over Midwestern State in the all-time series. The Lady Buffs have won each of the last four meetings between the two schools.
 
SURGING STANGS
Midwestern State has won three of their last four games after opening the season 1-8-1. Two of the Mustangs' three wins have come via a shutout. This marks the first time since October of 2017 that MSU has posted a 3-1 stretch.
 
FAB FRESHMAN
Nicole Marsolek scored her third goal of the season in Saturday's win over UT Permian Basin. The goal, from just outside the 18-yard box, proved to be the game-winner. Defensively, Marsolek anchored a defense that held the visiting Falcons to just five shots.
 
CONSISTENT CANNISTRA
Kelly Cannistra added a goal and an assist in Saturday's 3-0 win over UT Permian Basin and leads MSU with five goals and two assists. The Gilbert, Arizona native's five goals are a career-high (three goals in 2017).
 
SPENDING TIME WITH SPENCE
Ryan Spence opened his second season as the Head Coach of the Midwestern State Women's Soccer team with a 3-2 overtime win over New Mexico Highlands on September 6. In his first year in charge, the Mustangs finished 2-13-3 and 1-9-2 in Lone Star Conference action, earning a trip to the quarterfinals in the LSC Postseason Tournament.
 
SCOUTING THE LADY BUFFS
West Texas A&M has posted back-to-back wins after a 4-1 thrashing of Texas A&M International last Saturday. The Lady Buffs, who have won three of their last four, sit in sixth place in the Lone Star Conference with a 6-3 mark. Hannah Kelley-Lusk leads the Lady Buffs with six goals and three assists.
