WICHITA FALLS, Texas -Â The Midwestern State Mustangs (1-6-1, 0-3) conceded two second half goals in a 2-0 Lone Star Conference loss to the Angelo State Rambelles (6-1-1, 2-0-1) on Thursday night at Stang Park.
"Angelo State is one of the top teams in the region year after year," said Head Coach
Ryan Spence. "We just kind of lose it for one second and there's an own goal and then the second goal kind of happens with us pressing."
The Rambelles broke through in the 79th minute. Reagan Urbany settled a volley into the box and blasted one off MSU's
Kelly Cannistra and into the net to give Angelo State the lead. Urbany added her second goal of the night in the 90th minute to finish the scoring.
Midwestern State has dropped five straight.
"Spirits are still high," added Coach Meachum. "The energy tonight was good and we did not make the same mistakes we did in last week's two losses."
