WICHITA FALLS, Texas – A surging Midwestern State club tries to cap off a perfect home stand on Saturday afternoon against Texas A&M International. First serve is set for 2 p.m.
 
SERIES HISTORY
MSU is a perfect 5-0 against the Dustdevils of Texas A&M International. This is the first meeting between the two sides since a 3-0 Mustangs win on September 14, 2013.
 
MUSTANGS GAINING MOMENTUM
Midwestern State has won two matches in a row and four of five, their best stretch of 2019. The Mustangs are seeking their first three-game winning streak since October of 2017.
 
OFFENSIVE EXPLOSION
MSU hit a team best .369 in Tuesday's sweep of Southwestern Oklahoma State. It marked the first time the Mustangs hit over .300 as a team since November 11, 2017 against Cameron, a span of 47 matches. Prior to Tuesday night, the Mustangs' best hitting percentage of the year was .259 against Western State (Colorado), which came in the season opener.
 
SCOUTING THE DUSTDEVILS
Texas A&M International dropped a 3-1 decision to Texas Woman's University on Friday night. The match was tied 1-1 before the Pioneers claimed the last two sets to earn the win. The Dustdevils are paced by Mackenzie Catalina, who has recorded 210 kills (3.56 kills/set). 
 
COACH'S CORNER
Valerie Armstrong began her second season as Head Coach of the Midwestern State Volleyball team with a thrilling five-set win over Western State (Colorado) on September 6. In her first season at the helm, the Mustangs posted a 5-23 record and a 3-17 mark in the Lone Star Conference.
 
UP NEXT
The Maroon and Gold travel to San Angelo, Texas on Friday night to take on Angelo State. First serve is at 6 p.m.
