SERIES HISTORY
Western New Mexico has posted a 10-3 mark against MSU. MSU Texas won last year's meeting, 3-0, breaking a 10-match losing streak.
LAUREN LIGHTS IT UP
Lauren Honeycutt blasted her way to eight kills and a .429 kill rate against UT Permian Basin on Friday night. The sophomore also tied her season-high with five blocks.
EAKIN'S GOT HOPS
Sarah Eakin continued her strong net presence against the UT Permian Basin Falcons, recording four blocks. The Wichita Falls native has collected at least four blocks in four of the Mustangs' last six matches.
SCOUTING THE WESTERN NEW MEXICO MUSTANGS
Western New Mexico was swept by Texas Woman's University on Friday night to drop to 4-11 on the season and 2-5 in the Lone Star Conference. The Mustangs are led by Erin Moss, who has recorded 132 kills (3.07 kills/set) so far this season.
COACH'S CORNER
Valerie Armstrong began her second season as Head Coach of the Midwestern State Volleyball team with a thrilling five-set win over Western State (Colorado) on September 6. In her first season at the helm, the Mustangs posted a 5-23 record and a 3-17 mark in the Lone Star Conference.
