STREAKS ALIVE! @MSUMustangs rout Tarleton for eighth-straight win

THE RUNDOWN
STEPHENVILLE, Texas – The counts are mounting for 24th-ranked Midwestern State.

The Mustangs ran their season best winning streak to eight matches with a dominating 7-2 win over Tarleton State to improve to 12-5 on the season while going to 2-1 in Lone Star Conference play.

That's the start of the escalating numbers for MSU. The Mustangs extended their string of doubles victories to 26, while Daria Panferova ran her singles streak to 10 wins with a 6-2, 6-0 clincher over Sherine Salem at the No. 3 line.

The senior from Moscow also claimed her 12th consecutive win with doubles' partner Maddie Rowe as the duo dusted Tarleton's Erika Johnston and Crystalynn Shirley at 8-5 at the No. 3 spot.  And that's not even the longest active doubles streak for the Mustangs.

Junior Greta Lazzarotto and sophomore Bianca Duff raced to their 15th consecutive win ousting Shelby Fillingame and Neetika Sud 8-5 at No. 2 before MSU's 17th-ranked doubles crew of Maddy Coffman and Ashley Ramirez completed the Mustangs' 12th sweep on the doubles courts this season with an 8-6 victory over Salem and Alicia Babaroux.

Sophomore Emilija Segetlija pushed the advantage to 4-0 quickly dispatching Shirley 6-0, 6-1 on the No. 6 line before Panferova clinched Midwestern's 11th straight win over TexAnns.

Ramirez and Duff claimed wins over the Mustangs before Tarleton claimed split set wins at the Nos. 1 and 5 positions. Both came in super tiebreakers.
