MUSTANGS NOTES
 
FIRST SERVE: No. 24-ranked Midwestern State hits the road once again this weekend for three road matches at 20th-ranked St. Edward's (18-2), Arkansas-Fort Smith (8-3) and Southeastern Oklahoma State (3-8), on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, respectively. First serve is set for noon against the Hilltoppers and Lions while the contest with the Savage Storm is slated for 1 p.m.
 
COFFMAN CHARGING ON: Junior Maddy Coffman boasts a No. 27 singles ranking after debuting at No. 49 in the first Oracle/ITA poll to start the year. The Flower Mound native leads the team with a 10-3 record at the No. 1 line. Coffman's won 10 of her last 12 matches, including ranked wins over the nation's No. 21 and No. 29 players.
 
BUFF DUFF: Making her 2018 debut in the polls, sophomore Bianca Duff came in at No. 66 in singles with a 7-6 overall record. The Australian has picked up three wins over regionally ranked opponents on the season.
 
LAZZAROTTO WINS CAREER MATCH NO. 100: Junior Greta Lazzarotto won her 100th-career match with a victory in both singles and doubles, becoming the 11th player in program history to eclipse the century mark. The Bassano del Grappa, Italy, native tied former standout Taylor Coffman (2012-15) on the career wins list while her 60 doubles victories and .870 winning percentage are the second-best in the annals of the Mustangs.
 
DOUBLE THE FUN: In doubles, Coffman and Duff remained in the top-five, coming in at No. 5 despite having not played together since late February, earning a 1-1 record. The Mustangs tandem of sophomore Ashley Ramirez and Coffman moved up one-spot to No. 17 after winning nine of their last 10 at the No. 1 flight.
