WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Midwestern State closes out the 2018 regular season on the road at Texas A&M-Commerce and Texas Woman's on Friday and Sunday. The Mustangs can clinch a berth in the Lone Star Conference Postseason Tournament with a pair of wins.
 
Storylines
Just Ran Out of Time
Julia Orozco and Tatum Sharp scored their first goals of the season, but the Mustangs were unable to overcome an early 3-0 hole to TAMC on the MSU Soccer Practice Field.
 
Clean Sheet for Williams
Sophomore goalkeeper McKenna Williams made 11 saves in her first collegiate start earlier this season as MSU Texas battled Texas Woman's to a 0-0 double overtime draw at Stang Park earlier this season.
 
Chance to Clinch
West Texas A&M leads the LSC with 25 points and an 8-1-1 record, followed closely by Angelo State (7-2-1) with 22 points and Texas Woman's (6-2-2) with 20 points.
 
Texas A&M-Commerce (5-5-0) and Eastern New Mexico (4-5-1) sit at Nos. 4-5, separated by two points.
 
MSU Texas is currently sixth, leading UTPB by one points. The Mustangs control their own destiny and clinch a berth in the LSC Tournament with two wins.

MSU Texas has played six overtime games this season, including each of the last three outings. The Mustangs are 1-3-2 in those contests, suffering three-straight 2-1 losses.
 
Madison Williams scored the game winner 20 seconds into overtime in the season opener against New Mexico Highlands before Fort Lewis and the Mustangs battled to a 2-2 draw.
 
MSU Texas and TWU were each held scoreless in a double overtime decision at Stang Park.
 
The Mustangs took 17^th-ranked West Texas A&M and Angelo State to double overtime, sandwiched around an OT loss to UTPB.

Freshman Senna Garcia scored her team leading fourth goal of the season in Sunday's loss to Angelo State at the MSU Soccer Practice Field. The Albuquerque native netted her first goal since delivering the game winner against UT Permian Basin on Sept. 23.
 
Cannistra Assisting Machine
Sophomore Kelly Cannistra logged her team-leading fourth assist of the season in Sunday's loss to Angelo State. The Gilbert, Ariz., native crossed the ball in to Senna Garcia who headed it home to stake MSU Texas to a 1-0 lead.
