WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Midwestern State concludes its 2018 home slate on Tuesday, playing host to Texas Woman's at 6 p.m. in D.L. Ligon Coliseum. The Mustangs are coming off a 1-1 week with a sweep over Western New Mexico on Friday.

Sweep Szn
Midwestern State earned its second-straight win on Friday with a 3-0 sweep of Western New Mexico on Friday. The Maroon and Gold held the Mustangs to a -.017 hitting percentage, the first time MSU Texas has kept its opponent in the negative.
Building Blocks
The 16.0 blocks by the Mustangs in the 3-0 loss to UTPB matched the second-most in program history and fifth-most in an NCAA Division II three-set match this season. MSU Texas lost all three sets to the Falcons by two points. Junior
Sarah Eakin set a career-high with the fifth-most blocks in a three-set match, tallying eight rejections including four of the solo variety.
Pioneers Pick Apart MSU
Eakin had a strong performance in the first meeting with TWU this season. The Wichita Falls kid hit .400 with eight kills on 15 swings to pace MSU Texas in Denton. The Pioneers featured five players with at least six kills in the 25-15, 25-16, 25-17 sweep of the Mustangs.
Manio Digging For Gold
Freshman libero
Samantha Manio recorded her 200
th dig of the season in the loss to UTPB on Saturday. The Allen native has produced double-digit digs in nine of her last 11 matches, including a season-high of 25 in the five set win over Eastern New Mexico on Oct. 13. The freshman has proved to be a weapon from the service line of late, going for six aces in the last four matches with a season-best three against WNMU.

Sophomore
Jaycie Fuller ranks third on the team with 198 digs and sports a team-high 2.91 digs per set. The Arkansas-Fort Smith transplant is two away from breaking 200 on the year after recording 11 in each of this past weekend's matches.

Sarah Glawe climbed past Taryn Westerman (2010-11) for the 12
th most assists in program history on Saturday. At 856 career dimes, the Allen native is 518 away from Kimberly Jeffrey's (2009-11) 11
th place mark of 1,374.
Glawe's career 7.13 assists per set is the 10
th best in school history. She trails
Sarah Rosinke's ninth place record of 7.31 assists per set.

Sarah Eakin anchored the middle of the defense for the Mustangs with 15 blocks this weekend. Eakin matched a season-high with seven rejections against WNMU before breaking her own mark with eight against UTPB.
Her eight blocks against UTPB matched the fifth most in a three-set match in school history while her seven in the match with WNMU tied the 10th most in a three set contest.
Eakin's LSC leading 24 solo blocks and 79 assisted blocks each rank 15th on the MSU Texas single season list while her 103 total blocks rank 14th all-time.
The junior's 1.30 blocks per set this season would be a new program record and is the second-best in the LSC this year as well as the 15
th best in NCAA DII. Eakin has tallied seven or more blocks in five matches this season, including four of the last five outings.
Hammerin' Honeycutt

Lauren Honeycutt surpassed a milestone of her own on Saturday, eclipsing 100 kills in her first season in the Maroon and Gold. The Round Rock native has at least six kills in five of the last seven matches, adding in a season-best of 13 in the 3-1 win over Cameron on Oct. 2.
Rich Get Richer
Junior
Erin Richburg needs 85 kills and five digs to join the 500 kill/500 dig club with MSU Texas. The Rowlett native has 10 matches with at least 10 kills this season, adding on five double-doubles.
