@MSUWSoc stymied on the road at ENMU

THE RUNDOWN
PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico scored goals at the end of both halves to claim a 2-0 win over Midwestern State on Friday afternoon at Greyhound Stadium, dropping the Mustangs to 2-8-2 overall and 1-5-1 in Lone Star Conference action.
 
The Greyhounds struck on a miscue in the 44th minute. With the first half ticking down near a minute, ENMU's Samantha Fabela forced a turnover and hit a shot from 20 yards out along the left wing to grab a 1-0 lead.
 
MSU Texas amped up the offensive pressure in the second half, firing three shots on frame and six overall after mustering just one shot on goal and two shots total in the first 45 minutes of action. ENMU keeper Taylor Jackson made saves on all four attempts to blank the Mustangs.
 
With 20 seconds to play in regulation, Bailey Bosley found Julia Tucker unmarked from 20 yards out to double the lead and ice the game.
 
Sophomore Julia Orozco led the team with three shots while Kelly Cannistra, Senna Garcia, Heather Vanderloo and Sarah Stewart all put a shot on frame.
