WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Midwestern State pushed its win streak to nine matches Friday following wins over Collin College (Texas) and Seward County (Kan.) at the MSU Tennis Center.

The Mustangs (15-3) began the day with a 9-0 sweep of Collin College (11-10), a team ranked 13th in the NJCAA. MSU dominated doubles play with a pair of 8-3 scores and an 8-1 decision before collecting straight-set victories on all six singles courts en route to its second-straight sweep and fourth of the season.

Midwestern followed up with an 8-1 victory over the NJCAA's sixth-ranked team Seward County in the afternoon to move to 9-0 at home this season. 

The Mustangs powered their way to another doubles sweep with Greta Lazzarotto and Ashley Ramirez winning their ninth-straight match at No. 3 with a dominant 8-0 victory to improve to 16-2. The dynamic duo of Maddy Coffman and Bianca Duff were next off the court following an 8-4 win at No. 1 doubles to push their program-best start to an impressive 18-0. On court two, Daria Panferova and Eirini Kontaki teamed up for their third-straight victory with an 8-2 win.

Coffman extended the MSU lead to 4-0 in singles after a 6-3, 6-1 triumph at No. 4 singles with her 11th-straight win to move to a team-best 15-3 overall. Duff recorded the clincher with a 6-2, 6-4 victory at No. 3 singles.

Sarah Manseri, ranked 46th nationally, tallied the lone point for Seward County (14-6) with a 6-1, 6-4 victory over Kontaki on court two.

Panferova was victories at the top position, defeating the No. 9 player in the NJCAA in Thalita Rodrigues, 6-1, 6-7 (6), 10-4. Lazzarotto and Ramirez followed with straight-set victories at the bottom of the lineup to earn MSU the 8-1 victory.

Midwestern State welcomes Southern Nazarene (Okla.) to the MSU Tennis Center tomorrow for a 1 p.m. match in the Mustangs' home finale.
