WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Midwestern State squares off against its fourth-straight South Central Region opponent Tuesday when the 15th-ranked Mustangs play host to No. 43 Dallas Baptist at the MSU Tennis Center. First serve is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT
- Midwestern State extended its win streak to six matches last week following an 8-1 win over No. 42 St. Edward's and an 8-1 victory over conference foe Texas A&M-Kingsville in Wichita Falls
MUSTANGS CLIMB TO 15TH IN NATIONAL POLL
- The Mustangs achieved their fourth-highest national ranking in program history on Mar. 22, jumping six spots to No. 15 in the Oracle/ITA Women's Division II national poll
- The top-15 ranking is the fourth for the program in the last three seasons, earning a program-best ranking of 13th at the conclusion of the 2015 season that included a trip to the NCAA Elite Eight and back-to-back rankings of No. 14 during the 2015 season
A LOOK AT THE MUSTANGS
- Midwestern State is now 12-3 on the season and sits atop the Lone Star Conference standings with Cameron at 2-0
- The Mustangs are currently ranked second in the South Central Region behind No. 12 St. Mary's and in front of No. 24 Cameron and No. 42 St. Edward's
- MSU sports three players in the top 10 in the regional singles rankings in
Daria Panferova (5th),
Bianca Duff (7th) and
Eirini Kontaki (9th)
- At the No. 1 position, Panferova boasts a 9-6 record with a team-best five wins over regionally-ranked players this season
- Duff carries a 10-5 record on the season including a 9-2 mark at No. 3 singles with two wins against the region's top-20 players
- Kontaki has won eight of her last 10 matches, sporting a 10-4 overall record playing at line two for the Mustangs
- The Mustangs have been near unstoppable at the bottom of the lineup as of late with all three players carrying at least a five-match win streak

Ashley Ramirez has posted an 8-4 mark playing at No. 6 singles in her first collegiate season, winning her last five matches
- Coffman and Duff are off to the best doubles start in program history with an unblemished 15-0 record now playing at the top position
- On court three, Lazzarotto and Ramirez have won six straight for a 13-2 record while Panferova and
Amy Clifton are winners of four in a row for a 9-4 mark at No. 2
SCOUTING THE LADY PATRIOTS
- Dallas Baptist comes into Tuesday's match with a 14-4 record, currently ranked fifth in the South Central Region rankings
- The Lady Patriots earned their first ranked win of the season last week following a 6-3 victory over No. 24 Cameron in Dallas
- Skylar McDonald leads DBU in wins with a 15-3 record at No. 4, having won 11-straight matches dating back to Mar. 4
- Liz Slaughter and Bianca Tijerina both sport 12-4 records playing on courts five and six, respectively, while Lacey Sprinkel is 11-7 playing at No. 2
- Ana Marija Banic carries a 10-8 record at the top position while Mikayla Rinker is 10-6 at No. 3
- In doubles, the duo of Tijerina and McDonald carry a team-best 12-4 record playing at line three
- At No. 1, Banic and Sprinkel are 11-6 together while the tandem of Slaughter and Rinker are 11-5 on court two
