- Midwestern State has won four of its last five heading into a crucial three-game stretch this week claiming wins over West Texas A&M, Newman (Kan.), UT Permian Basin and Eastern New Mexico over the past two weeks.
- MSU ranks fourth in the LSC and 42nd in NCAA Division II with 2.18 team blocks per set. The Mustangs have posted at least nine blocks in each of their last three outings and have 10-or-more put backs seven times this season.
- Midwestern boasts three players in the top 12 blockers in the LSC as freshman Raven Presley is sixth (1.03 bps), senior Addison Semer is 10th (0.98 bps) and sophomore Sarah Eakin is 12th (0.98 bps).

- Senior Aerielle Edwards has helped the Mustangs hold opponents to a .168 hitting percentage on the year with an average of 4.90 digs per set to rank fourth in the league.
- Senior outside hitter Meghan Bettis leads the Mustangs with 221 kills this season with 2.83 kills per set to rank ninth in the LSC. She has 852 career kills to rank 14th on MSU's all-time list and is range of the Top 10. She is 29 away from Hillary White (13th/881/2008-11), 47 from Sheila Farrar (12th/898/1987-88), 57 away from Geneva Hammond (11th/908/1987-90) and 80 away from Caitlin Wallace (10th/931/2010-13).
- Bettis is followed on the offensive end by senior middle blocker Addison Semer (208 kills, 2.31/set) and junior outside hitter Rockelle Gholson (202 kills, 2.59/set).
- At the service line, MSU leads the league with 1.70 aces per set (153) with three Mustangs ranking in the top 15 in the conference -- senior libero Aerielle Edwards (6th/0.33/set, 29), junior defensive specialist Kristin Silva (7th/0.32/set, 27), and senior setter Kristan Aduddell (15th/0.26/set, 23).
- The Mustangs can pull even with Texas Woman's University for the eighth and final berth in the Lone Star Conference Championships. The Mustangs would also gain a head-to-head tiebreaker with a season sweep of the Pioneers earlier this season in Wichita Falls.
- TWU owns a 29-16 edge in the series which dates back to the 1987 season. Midwestern snapped a 12-match skid to the Pioneers with a 3-0 sweep on Sept. 29, 2017. It was the Mustangs' first win of the series since 2010.
- The Pioneers snapped a five-match skid with a 3-1 win over Arkansas-Monticello Saturday afternoon at Kitty Magee Arena. TWU is 6-3 on its home floor this season.
- Senior Miri Shade leads the Pioneer attack putting down 3.08 kills per set in 22 matches this season. She has 10-or-more kills in 14 matches finishing with seven kills in her first meeting with MSU.
- No. 14 Tarleton State had its program-long 15 match winning streak snapped by West Texas A&M Saturday afternoon in Canyon. The LSC-leading TexAnns won 45 of 51 sets during the run which included 10 sweeps.
- The TexAnns own a 30-23 edge in the series which dates back to 1987. Tarleton has won the last seven matches and 13 of the last 14 going back to the 2010 season. The TexAnns have won 21 of the last 23 sets against MSU.
- Three-time All-American Hailey Roberts leads the LSC and is seventh in NCAA Division II with 4.55 kills per set hitting .251. She has 10-or-more kills in 25 of 26 matches this season including at least 20 kills in five matches.
- Junior Adriana Darthuy gives the TexAnns another solid hitting option putting down 2.94 kills per set while hitting .232. She has recorded 10 kills in 14 matches.
- No. 23 Angelo State snapped a two-match slide with a four-set win over UT Permian Basin Saturday in Odessa. Heading into the week, the Rambelles were tied for fifth in the league with Western New Mexico.
- Angelo State owns a 32-11 edge in the series which dates back to the 1987 season. The Rambelles have won the last 18 matches of the series which includes sweeps in the last seven. Midwestern's last win came in five sets in 2008.
- Senior middle blocker Morgan Seaton leads the LSC with a .329 hitting percentage. She has hit .300 or better in each of her last eight matches. During the stretch, she is hitting .413 while averaging 2.25 kills per set.
- Senior outside hitter Brianna Sotello ranks second in the LSC with 3.89 kills per set with a kill percentage of .253.
