ON THE COURT
- Midwestern State takes on St. Edward's in the South Central Regional #2 Championship Monday afternoon at the MSU Tennis Center. First serve is set for 2 p.m.
- The winner moves on to face the victor of the Atlantic Regional #1 championship on May 13 at the Surprise (Ariz.) Tennis and Racquet Complex in the NCAA Division II Sweet Sixteen.
 
SCOUTING THE HILLTOPPERS
- St. Edward's lost in the Heartland Conference finals 5-1 to St. Mary's (Texas) the last time out to snap a three-match winning streak.
- The Hilltoppers are 4-7 against nationally ranked opposition this season and 0-5 against teams ranked in the Top 20.
- Junior Brooke Hughes and senior Alexandra Khadhyzan are ranked No. 5 in the region playing No. 1 doubles for SEU. The duo 13-5 this season.
- Khadhyzan is the Hilltoppers' lone regionally ranked singles player. She is 8-9 playing at the No. 1 spot this season.
- Freshman Francesca Chaher has won her last three matches at the No. 4 singles position. She is 10-6 overall in singles play this season.
- Junior Ivana Zecevic has a team-high 12 dual singles victory this season playing primarily out of the No. 4 spot.
 
ABOUT THE SERIES
- Midwestern State meets St. Edward's for the 21st time on the court Monday afternoon at the MSU Tennis Center.
- The Mustangs own a 13-7 edge in the series which dates back to the 1998-99 season.
- MSU has won the last three matches against the Hilltoppers, but SEU has claimed victories in three of the four matchups between the programs in Wichita Falls.
- St. Edward's claimed wins at the MSU Tennis Center in 2004, 2007 and 2009 before the Mustangs took a 6-3 decision on April 14, 2013.
 
LAST TIME OUT AGAINST ST. EDWARDS
- Midwestern State claimed its first ever sweep over St. Edward's on April 3 at the MSU Tennis Center.
- Senior Taylor Coffman and junior Kayla Casey claimed the highlight win at No. 1 doubles taking an 8-2 result over then-No. 22-ranked Brooke Hughes and Alexandra Khadhyzan.
- MSU won the other two doubles matches 8-5 and swept to straight-set victories in singles play.
 
MSU IN THE NCAA POSTSEASON
- Midwestern State is making its 15th appearance in the NCAA Division II Championship Tournament advancing to the postseason in five of the last six seasons.
- The Mustangs advanced to the Sweet Sixteen in 2000, 2005, 2013, 2014.
- MSU boasts a 12-10 record in regional postseason play advancing to the regional final 12 times (4-8).
- The Mustangs earned their first NCAA postseason hosting opportunity in 2013 and repeated the honor last season. Midwestern is 2-0 in the postseason while playing on its home surface.
 
ABOUT THE MUSTANGS
- Midwestern State carries its highest national ranking into the 2015 NCAA postseason ranked 14th in the latest ITA Division II Rankings.
- Senior Taylor Coffman and junior Kayla Casey are the 25th-ranked doubles tandem in NCAA Division II and are ranked fourth in the South Central Region.
- Juniors Lauren Pineda and Lindsay Nochowicz are ranked ninth in the region.
- MSU boasts four singles players carrying regional rankings including junior Kayla Casey at No. 5, senior Taylor Coffman at No. 9, junior Maddie Schorlemmer at No. 11 and sophomore Courtney Anderson at No. 13.

- Senior Taylor Coffman is three duals wins away from becoming the sixth player in MSU women's tennis history to amass 100 career victories. She is currently 97-70 (.581) including a 40-40 singles mark and a 57-30 record in doubles play.
 
MUSTANGS NOTABLES
- Midwestern State has won its last nine matches against NCAA Division II squads and is 14-4 against D2 opponents this season.
- The Mustangs are 7-4 against nationally ranked opponents this season and 13-4 against regionally ranked.
- MSU is 26-4 on its home courts over the last three seasons.
- The Mustangs have dominated doubles play this season posting an overall 48-17 mark (.738).
- No. 25-ranked Taylor Coffman and Kayla Casey have won their last five matches at the No. 1 position and are 13-6 overall.

- Freshman Carrie Casey has not lost a set to a Division II player this season with a 7-0 singles mark on the strength of a six-match winning streak. Casey's lone loss came to SMU's Holly Verner on Feb. 15.
- Sophomore Paige Boykin is 16-4 this season with an 11-3 mark out of the No. 5 position. She has won her last three matches and eight of the last nine.
 
ALL-CONFERENCE AWARDS
- Midwestern State juniors Kayla Casey and Maddie Schorlemmer were named to the first team while senior Taylor Coffman and sophomore Courtney Anderson gained honorable mention in singles.
- Kayla Casey and Taylor Coffman earned first-team doubles mention while Lauren Pineda and Lindsay Nochowicz gained honorable mention.
- Nochowicz earned LSC Co-Newcomer of the Year accolades after transferring in from Tampa (Fla.).
 
THE LINN ERA
- Scott Linn is in his fifth season at the helm of the Midwestern State women's tennis program.
- The Mustangs are 81-39 (.675) under Linn's direction advancing to the NCAA Division II postseason in 2011, 2013, 2014 and 2015.
