WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Midwestern State pushed off to a great start Friday afternoon against No. 43-ranked Dallas Baptist before rain forced a cancelation at the MSU Tennis Center.

The Mustangs led in each of the three doubles matches in progress as Kayla Casey and Taylor Coffman and Lauren Pineda and Lindsay Nochowicz held 5-2 leads at the Nos. 1 and 2 positions while Maddie Schorlemmer and Paige Boykin were on the verge of closing out a win with a 7-2 lead at the No. 3 spot.

The match will not be completed or made up.

Midwestern State opens Lone Star Conference Postseason Tournament play Friday morning at the Streich-Henry Family Tennis Center in Lawton. First serve is set for 10 a.m. for the top-seeded Mustangs. The opponent is to be determined.
