SAN ANTONIO -- Midwestern State rolled to its second straight 8-1 result beating NCAA Division III Trinity (Texas) Friday afternoon at Al G. Hill, Jr. Tennis Stadium.
The Mustangs, who improved to 8-5 on the season, takes on Texas A&M-Kingsville in their Lone Star Conference opener Saturday afternoon King High School. First serve is set for 1 p.m.

Taylor Coffman beating Lisa Southwick and Marie Lutz 8-1 at No. 1, juniors
Lauren Pineda and
Lindsay Nochowicz defeated Cheyenne Duncan and Gabrielle Roe 8-2 at No. 2 and junior Madeline Schorlemmer and sophomore
Paige Boykin belted Nicole Rueb and Kirsty Hamilton 8-1 at No. 3.
The Mustangs claimed wins in two of the three singles matches that went to split sets.
Schorlemmer outlasted Caroline White 4-6, 6-4, 10-7 at No. 3 while sophomore
Courtney Anderson beat Roe 7-6, 4-6, 10-7 at No. 4.
Trinity's Southwick gave the Tigers their lone win of the match by taking a 6-3, 2-6, 10-6 decision over Coffman at No. 2.
Casey, Boykin and Nochowicz all claimed straight set victories at Nos. 1, 5 and 6 respectively.
Trinity fell to 5-8 on the season.
