WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Playing their final match at MSU Soccer Field, the Midwestern State women's soccer senior class was unable to come away with one final victory on Senior Day as Texas Woman's recorded a 2-1 overtime win Sunday afternoon.
Prior to Sunday's match, the MSU women's soccer program honored the accomplishments of seven seniors that have helped continue the program's winning tradition.

Carina Dunnahoo were joined on the field by their family and friends during a ceremony minutes before kickoff.
Facing a 1-0 deficit late in the second half, Midwestern State (8-6-3, 3-5-2 LSC) evened the match in the 74th minute as senior forward

With the teams deadlocked after 90 minutes, Texas Woman's (10-6-2, 5-4-1 LSC) struck late in the first overtime with sophomore midfielder Megan Coppedge delivering the golden goal in the 97th minute to give the Pioneers the 2-1 win.
The Mustangs were able to put together several good looks throughout Sunday's match, leading 8-5 in shots on goal with Cottrell and junior forward
Aly Wade each placing two shots on target. Midwestern outshot TWU 19-12 with a 13-4 advantage in the second half.
After a scoreless first period, Texas Woman's went in front in the 56th minute as a corner kick from senior forward Natalia Diaz found the top right corner of the goal to help the Pioneers go on top 1-0.
Sophomore midfielder Chelsea Martin and junior forward Nancy Chavez each recorded four shots to lead TWU as Chavez finished with a team-best two shots on goal.
With the loss, the Mustangs enter next week's Lone Star Conference Tournament as the No. 5 seed, and will face fourth-seeded West Texas A&M on Thursday, Nov. 5 at 7:30 p.m. at the ASU Soccer Field in San Angelo. The winner will face top-seeded Angelo State on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
TWU earned the No. 3 seed following Sunday's win and will face No. 6 Eastern New Mexico on Thursday at 5 p.m. The winner of that match will move on to play No. 2 Texas A&M-Commerce Friday at 5 p.m.
The LSC championship match is set to take place Sunday, Nov. 8 at 1 p.m.
