Midwestern State continues its road swing Monday when the Mustangs travel to Lubbock Christian to take on the Chaps in a 4 p.m. contest at LCU Soccer Field.

The Mustangs last took down St. Mary's, 3-1, in San Antonio back on Sunday, Sept. 27. With a 1-1 halftime score, Midwestern State came out of the break scoring two goals in the first 10 minutes of the second period to record the win and improve to 7-0-0 on the season. Senior forward

MUSTANGS REMAIN AT NO. 2 IN NATION
– Midwestern State remained at No. 2 for the second-straight week in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Division II Top 25 Poll
– The No. 2 ranking is the highest for the Mustangs since also appearing at No. 2 in the final poll of the 2010 season when Midwestern advanced to the NCAA Division II Final Four

SCOUTING THE CHAPS
– Lubbock Christian begins the week with a 4-3-1 record and 1-1-0 mark in the Heartland Conference
– The Chaps recently snapped a two-match losing skid with a 2-1 home win over Texas A&M International
– Along with Midwestern State, LCU is in the top five in the nation with an average of 23.7 shots per game for third while ranking sixth with 9.71 on goal
– The Chaps come in with the 35th-best offense with an average 2.29 goals per game
– Sophomore midfielder Tommy Fogarty-Cameron and senior midfielder Mbongeni Ndlovu have each netted a team-high four goals this season with Fogarty-Cameron leading the Chaps with 11 points

ELDER BECOMES ALL-TIME WINNINGEST COACH IN PROGRAM HISTORY

Doug Elder became the all-time winningest coach in program history with his 222nd win
– Elder passed his former coach Howard Patterson, who finished with a 221-85-20 record (.709) in 17 seasons (1973-89) at Midwestern
– Now in his 16th season at MSU, Elder holds a career record of 226-51-28 (.787)
