Angel Summers keyed the best team night at the net for Midwestern State Tuesday night at Greyhound Arena.
She got her hands on 11 blocks as part of the Mustangs' 18 team blocks, but it wasn't enough to over Eastern New Mexico as the Zias came away with a 25-19, 27-29, 21-25, 25-18, 15-13.
The loss was the eighth straight for the Mustangs, who fell to 4-9 overall and 0-5 in Lone Star Conference play.
The 18 total team blocks were the fourth most in program history and most since MSU posted 18.5 against Arkansas Tech on Sep. 12, 1998.
Freshman
Addison Semer added seven total blocks, while sophomore middle blocker
Sarah Garfield had four.
Summers joined junior outside hitter
Hunter Porter with 11 kills to pace the attack while senior outside hitter
Nicole Marzik and Garfield had eight kills each.
Senior libero
Casey Fletcher led back row play with 24 digs, while sophomore setter
Sarah Rosinke had 31 set assists, eight digs and five kills.
Eastern New Mexico's Lauren Frye put down 18 kills to pace the Zias, who improved to 5-5 and 1-2.
