COMMERCE, Texas — The duo of Nicole Marzik and Hunter Porter did their damage Saturday night for Midwestern State, but it wasn't enough to overcome Texas A&M-Commerce which came away with a nip-and-tuck 25-20, 23-25, 24-26, 25-22, 17-15 win here in Lone Star Conference play.

Porter, a junior transfer from Emporia State, put down 16 kills, while redshirt-freshman middle blocker Angel Summers had 13 kills while hitting .281.
Sophomore setter Sarah Rosinke completed a solid all-around performance with 42 assists, eight kills, seven digs and three service aces.
Senior libero Casey Fletcher paced MSU back row play with 33 digs, while sophomore Madelyn Johnson added 12 digs of her own.
Amy Devault led a growp of four A&M-Commerce players in double-figures with 20 as the Lions hit a stellar .262 as a team.
Texas A&M-Commerce upped its season record to 3-9 and 1-2.
