SCOUTING THE CHAPS- Lubbock Christian took a 3-2 loss to NAIA University of the Southwest (N.M.) Saturday afternoon to fall to 1-2 on the season.
- The Chaps opened the season at the Days Inn Classic hosted by Fort Hays State (Kan.) where they took a 2-1 loss to Drury (Mo.) and claimed a 1-0 result over Colorado State-Pueblo.
- Four different players have scored single goals for LCU this season including freshman forward Darius Strambler, freshman midfielder Mitchell Hopkins, senior midfielder Stewart MacDonell and junior forward Lennard Hansen.
- Freshman goalkeeper Tristen Putnam has let in five goals in 270 minutes in between the posts this season for a 1.67 goals against average. He has stopped 19 of the 24 shots on goal he has faced for a .792 save percentage.
- Lubbock Christian competes in the Heartland Conference.

ABOUT THE MUSTANGS- Midwestern State claimed its second consecutive win by taking a 2-0 result over Colorado-Colorado Springs Saturday afternoon at the MSU Soccer Field.
- MSU's dynamic duo of senior midfielder Andrew Power and junior striker Albert Rodriguez have accounted for each of the Mustangs six goals this season.
- Power netted two goals in the opener against Fort Lewis, knocked in a penalty kick at Colorado Mesa then struck in the 19th minute Saturday against Colorado-Colorado Springs.
- Rodriguez opened his account with a game winner in the second overtime against Colorado Mesa then found the net in the 40th minute Saturday against UCCS.
- Sophomore midfielder Paul Sunderland leads the Mustangs with two assists.
- Junior goalkeeper Nick Petolick notched his 10th career clean sheet by making one save in a 2-0 victory over UCCS on Saturday. He owns a 12-2-2 career mark between the posts for the Mustangs.

HOME FIELD MYSTIQUE- Midwestern State owns a 52-3-5 mark (.908) at the MSU Soccer Field since the start of the 2008 season.
- The Mustangs boasted a 44-match unbeaten streak stretching from the 2007 postseason into the 2012 season.
- MSU is currently on an 8-match home unbeaten streak since taking a 2-1 loss in double overtime to St. Edward's on Sept. 20, 2013. The Mustangs are 7-0-1 on its home pitch since with the draw coming against Eastern New Mexico.

THE DOUG ELDER ERA- Doug Elder is in his 15th season at the helm of Midwestern State.
- Elder remains NCAA Division II winningest active coach in terms of percentage at 208-48-26 (.784).
- Elder is a six-time NSCAA Regional Coach of the Year (2003, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011).
- Elder's teams have advanced to the NCAA Division II postseason nine times while making five national quarterfinal appearances twice advancing to the Final Four.
- Elder needs 14 wins to overtake Howard Patterson (221-85-20 from 1973-89) as the program's all-time leader in coaching wins.
