With a win, the Mustangs advance to face top-seed and host West Texas A&M in the semifinal round at 6:30 p.m.
The championship game is set for Saturday at 2 p.m.

SCOUTING THE AGGIES
- Cameron dropped two of three in its regular season ending series last weekend to Texas Woman's.
- The Aggies closed the season dropping seven of 15 games, but won three of four from Midwestern State during that stretch.
- All-LSC first-team selection Tara Martini paces the Aggie attack hitting .395 with 17 doubles and 10 homers while driving in 57 runs.
- All-LSC second-team pick Misty Dooley hits .364 with five doubles and 15 stolen bases, while third-teamer Breezy McComas hits .325 with eight doubles, 10 homers and 31 RBIs.
- All-LSC second-teamer Kelsey Watson paces Cameron with a 15-10 mark and 3.28 ERA in the circle. The junior right-hander boast three shutouts this season.
ABOUT THE SERIES
- Midwestern State leads the overall series with Cameron by a 26-16 margin.
- The Mustangs own wins in the only two meeting between the program in Lone Star Conference Postseason Tournament. MSU defeated the Aggies 4-0 on May 2, 2008 and 10-2 on May 6, 2011. Both games were played in Durant.
- Cameron has won the last three games of the series which matches their longest string of success against MSU.
MUSTANGS NOTABLES
- Midwestern State bounced back to claim a weekend sweep of Tarleton State to close the regular season with a 28-21 mark. It was the first time the Mustangs' won consecutive games since posting a season long nine-game winning streak from March 7-23.
- Junior shortstop
Katy Vandewater went 8-for-9 (.889) with three doubles and three homers while driving in 12 runs against the TexAnns to earn NFCA National Hitter of the Week honors.
- Sophomore outfielder
Haley Howerton beat the TSU shift to go 7-for-9 (.778) with four stolen bases while scoring six runs.
- Junior shortstop
Kelley Schaefer hit .625 (5-for-8) with a double and a homer while driving in seven runs over the weekend.
- Sophomore outfielder
Katelyn Vinson was 4-for-8 with 4 RBIs.
- Senior catcher
Kim Jerrick became the first player in school history to hit 50 home runs and steal 50 bases with 54 and 51, respectively.
- Jerrick is MSU's all-time leader in home runs and is second to former teammate
Elena Bennett (124 SBs) on the all-time stolen base list.
- Freshman pitcher
Katlyn Holmes pitched the seventh no-hitter and fifth perfect game in school history in a 12-0 win over Tarleton State in five innings on Friday night. It was the first perfect game for MSU since Kat Batey accomplished the feat in a 9-0 win in five innings over Oklahoma Panhandle State last March.
- Holmes is the fifth pitcher to throw a no-hitter for MSU joining Katie Petersen (3), Kristina Gutierrez,
Laci Belovsky and Batey. She is the third to throw a perfect game joining Petersen (3) and Batey.

- The Mustangs rank third in NCAA Division II in home runs per game (1.51), 10th in slugging percentage (.544), 18th in scoring (6.73) and 57th in batting average (.314).
- Senior catcher
Kim Jerrick ranks 21st in home runs (14.0), 13th in runs per game (1.23), 14th in walks per game (0.70), 23rd in home runs per game (0.30), 53rd in on-base percentage (.500), 57th in slugging percentage (.717) and 59th in stolen bases (0.49).
- Sophomore outfielder
Katelyn Vinson ranks 47th in home runs per game (0.26), 40th in slugging percentage (.757), 30th in RBIs per game (1.18), 72nd in sacrifice flies (3.0) and 98th in batting average (.405).
- Junior shortstop
Katy Vandewater is 29th in home runs (13.0), 45th in home runs per game (0.27) and 68th in RBIs per game (1.02).
- Junior third baseman
Kelley Schaefer ranks 10th with five sacrifice flies.
- Sophomore outfielder
Haley Howerton is 84th in stolen bases per game (0.43).
MILESTONES
- Senior catcher
Kim Jerrick (54 home runs) needs three homers to overtake former West Texas A&M standout Kim LeComte for the Lone Star Conference's all-time lead in home runs. LeComte hit 56 homers from 2009-12.
MSU UNDER BRADY TIGERT
Brady Tigert is in his 11th season at the helm at Midwestern State and is the program's lone head coach since it was resurrected in 2004. The Mustangs have averaged just over 40 wins a year under Tigert, who boasts a 429-201 (.681) record which includes NCAA Division II postseason trips in eight of 10 seasons. MSU finished as national semifinalists in 2011, claimed two regional titles (2010, 2011) and two Lone Star Conference championships (2006, 2007).
