LAS VEGAS, Nev. – No. 17-ranked Midwestern State fell for the second straight day in Las Vegas, as No. 10 Fresno Pacific took a 6-3 win over the Mustangs.
The Mustangs (7-4) saw the Sunbirds (11-5) sweep doubles before splitting the singles points.
Fresno Pacific got off on the right foot as the No. 2 doubles team in the country, Thomas Gely/Kyle Rowe, shutout MSU's No. 1 team of
Tomas Grejtak/
Ramon Toyos 8-0.
Then FPU got close wins at Nos. 2 and 3 for a solid lead with Brendan Aguilar/Leonardo Urquidi winning at No. 2 against MSU's

Kyle Davidson 8-5, followed by the Mustangs

Zack Santagate dropping an 8-6 decision at No. 3 to Michael Tymkiw/Stefan Loop 8-6.
In singles, the Mustangs grabbed the top two positions and also won at No. 6.
No. 46 Boborykin handed FPU's Tymkiw a 6-4, 6-1 loss at No. 1, while 27th ranked Davidson won at No. 2 over Gely 3-6, 6-4, 10-6.
MSU's Liston won at No. 6, beating Daniel Gianopulis 6-1, 6-1.
Toyos battled to three sets against FPU's Rowe at No. 3, but the Sunbirds got the point with a 6-4, 4-6, 10-7 win.
At No. 4, Christopher Norrie dropped a 6-2, 6-1 decision to Aguilar, while Grejtak fell at No. 5 to Urquidi 6-4, 6-4.
Midwestern closes their Spring Break trip to Las Vegas on Thursday morning when the Mustangs meet No. 2 Armstrong Atlantic at the Darling Tennis Center.
