LAWTON, Okla. -- Hot-shooting Midwestern State buried Cameron with a big second half on its way to a 91-58 win in the season finale Saturday afternoon at Aggie Gym.
The Mustangs closed the season with wins in seven of their last 10 games on the way to a 17-10 overall mark while claiming the No. 4 seed in the Lone Star Conference Postseason Tournament.
MSU takes on Angelo State in the quarterfinal round Thursday night at 6 p.m. at the Allen (Texas) Events Center.

Taylor Dowd poured in a career-high 16 points connecting on five of her eight shots from the field while going 5-for-5 from the free throw line in 17 minutes to lead a pack of five players in double figures for the Mustangs.

Andrea Carter pitched in 14 points and six rebounds on 6-of-9 shooting, while senior guard
Kirsti Degelia added 13 points and three assists.

Dianna Jones bombed in four 3-pointers to finish with 12 points and sophomore forward
Lynn Lumpkin-Boozer pitched in 10 points and eight rebounds.

Shatoia Gober had a solid all-around effort with four points, eight rebounds and nine assists to help the Mustangs to shoot a season-best 56.9-percent from the floor.
Midwestern scored the first seven points of the game and led by as many as 15 points in the opening half. The Mustangs continued to pull away in the second half for their largest margin of victory this season.
Ali Brown and Jazzmine Robinson had 11 points each to pace Cameron, who finished the regular season at 13-13 and 5-11.
