WICHITA FALLS, Texas - The Midwestern State Mustangs showed no fatigue in their second game in back-to-back nights, crushing College of Faith (Ark.) 105-62 on Friday night.

Midwestern State (6-3) used a balanced team effort to defeat the Warriors as every Mustang player scored. College of Faith (2-5) also achieved that feat, but only dressed seven players for the game.

The Mustangs saw six players score double digit points, led by senior guard Thad Rideau and freshman guard Devante Pullum each scoring 15.

The Warriors only had one lead in the game, 2-0 in the opening seconds. C.J. Maclin took the opening tip directly to the rim for a layup to put College of Faith on top. The Mustangs would answer with a layup off of an offensive rebound by former Burkburnett Bulldog Derrell Gibbs.

MSU took the lead at the 19:14 mark and would never surrender it again. The Mustangs used 52.9% shooting in the first half to build a 48-27 halftime lead.

The second period began with a boom as Devante Pullum drained a long 3 pointer to put MSU on top 51-27. The Mustangs went a combined 8-17 from downtown in the game, with Pullum and Rideau both sinking 3 each.

Consistent, hard play throughout the second half eventually led to a 46 point MSU lead with 6:34 left to play. Midwestern used their strength on the glass to dominate offense and defense, outrebounding the Warriors 56-28 for the game.

"We had a great team effort tonight, dishing out 26 assists and outrebounding them by almost thirty," said MSU head coach Nelson Haggerty. "Our guys were sharing the ball well and working hard on the glass."

Haggerty was also happy to see his players smile as they prepare for a week long break, before the Mustangs leave on a long road trip with two stops in Florida and one in South Dakota.

"It's important to have confidence as we grow as a team," said Haggerty. "We asked the guys to play in some different roles and with them being able to contribute it means a lot."

The Mustangs hit the road to play Nova Southeastern (Fla.) next Saturday, December 13, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
