- The Bulldogs are tied for eighth in the Great American Conference at 5-8. SWOSU has clinched a spot in the GAC Volleyball Championship field.

- Midwestern State split a pair of games last weekend claiming a five-set win over Southern Nazarene before falling to Cameron in four sets.
- MSU played its 11th five-set match of the season Friday night against Southern Nazarene and improved to 4-7 in those contests.
- Midwestern matched a school record with its 11th five-set match of the season. The Mustangs also played five sets in 2009.
- The Mustangs (3-12) sit half-game back of Texas A&M-Commerce (3-11) for the eighth and final berth in the LSC Postseason Tournament and are one game behind seventh-place Cameron (4-11). MSU plays at Texas A&M-Kingsville Friday and Cameron takes on the Javelinas on Saturday. Texas A&M-Commerce closes the season with matches at Eastern New Mexico and West Texas A&M.
- The Mustangs clinch a spot outright in just one scenario. The Mustangs are in with a win and if A&M-Commerce loses to both ENMU and WT this weekend. MSU goes as the No. 8 seed regardless of Cameron result against A&M-Kingsville on Saturday as the Aggies hold a 5-4 edge in sets for the season series.

Sarah Garfield (Wichita Falls, Texas / Holliday HS) is averaging 3.79 kills per set over her last three matches while hitting a stellar .354 delivering efforts of 13 kills against Texas Woman's, 22 versus Southern Nazarene and 18 at Cameron.

Garfield moved past Molly Truelove (32 in 1995) and Lauren Bayer (32 in 2010) into eighth place on the school's all-time with two solo blocks against Southern Nazarene on Friday.
- Senior defensive specialist
Casey Fletcher (Eddy, Texas / Moody HS) became the seventh player in MSU history to surpass 1,400 career digs with 20 digs Saturday against Cameron. With 1,410 digs, she needs 23 more to pass Allison Schreiber (1,432 digs from 2005-08) to move into sixth place on MSU's all-time digs list.
- Sophomore setter
Sarah Rosinke (League City, Texas / Clear Springs HS) logged 70 set assists last week to move to within 47 assists of Beth Wood (1,431 assists from 1987-88) for eighth place on the all-time assts list with 1,385.
- Junior outside hitter
Hunter Porter (Red Oak, Texas / Red Oak HS (Emporia State)) logged her third and fourth consecutive double-digit kill matches last week with 13 against Southern Nazarene and 11 versus Cameron.
