SCOUTING THE CRIMSON STORM
- Southern Nazarene rides a five-match winning streak into Thursday night's contest at D.L. Ligon Coliseum.
- The Crimson Storm is tied for second place in the Great American Conference at 9-3 two games behind Arkansas Tech (12-1).
- Southern Nazarene ranks 15th in NCAA Division II in team blocks per set with 2.39 led by senior middle blocker Taylor Jacobs, who is sixth individually in the nation with 1.29 blocks per set.
- The all-around Jacobs also leads SNU with 3.51 kills per set, a .280 attack percentage and 0.28 service aces per set.
- Freshman middle blocker McKayla Benner (2.18 kps), sophomore outside hitter Lexie Matthews (2.12 kps) and senior outside hitter Emilie Crawford (2.12) all average more than two kills per set for the Crimson Storm.
- Reigning GAC Setter of the Week Kaylee Piatt ranks third in the Great American Conference with 10.07 set assists per set.
- Sophomore defensive specialist Abbey Bell ranks second in the GAC with 4.91 digs per set.

- Midwestern State meets Southern Nazarene for the 30th time on the floor Thursday night at D.L. Ligon Coliseum.
- The Mustangs hold a commanding 21-8 edge in the series and are 10-3 all time against the Crimson Storm in Wichita Falls.
- Southern Nazarene 3-2 win over MSU earlier this season snapped the Mustangs' nine-match winning streak in the series which dated back to the 1996 season.

- Cameron snapped a five-match skid with a 3-1 win over Southwestern Oklahoma State Tuesday night in Weatherford.
- The Aggies have lost six of their last seven LSC matches with their only win coming against Eastern New Mexico on Oct. 11.
- Cameron boasts an 8-2 non-conference mark but is 3-11 in league play.
- Junior outside hitter Kat Evans leads the Aggies' attack with 2.73 kills per set, while senior middle hitter Rebecca Green (2.52 kps) and redshirt-freshman outside hitter Kendra Adams (2.36 kps) also average more than two kills per set.
- Freshman defensive specialist Cristina Viera leads back row efforts at 3.78 digs per set.

- Midwestern State snapped a five-match skid with a sweep of Texas A&M-Commerce Friday night.
- The Mustangs had dropped 10 consecutive sets before claiming the victory over A&M-Commerce.
- MSU played its 10th five-set match of the season and is 3-7 in those contests.
- It's the sixth time in program history the Mustangs have extended 10 matches to five sets and the first time since 2009.
- The Mustangs have gone to five sets 10 times in five seasons and 11 times in 1992.

Sarah Garfield (Wichita Falls, Texas / Holliday HS) moved into 10th on the single season solo block list with her 31st Saturday against Texas Woman's. She needs three more to pass Molly Truelove (32 in 1995) and Lauren Bayer (32 in 2010) to jump into eighth.

Casey Fletcher (Eddy, Texas / Moody HS) had 17 digs last week to run her career total to 1,374 and move into seventh on the program's all-time list past Mandy Pinkerton (1370 from 1995-98).
- Sophomore setter
Sarah Rosinke (League City, Texas / Clear Springs HS) logged 92 set assists last week to move past Kristan Aduddell (1247 from 2011-12) into 10th on the career assists list with 1,315.
- Junior outside hitter
Hunter Porter (Red Oak, Texas / Red Oak HS (Emporia State))notched her eighth and ninth double-digit kill outings putting down 12 against Texas A&M-Commerce and 10 against Texas Woman's.
- Senior middle blocker
Kat Molloy (Seattle, Wash. / Graham (Wash.) Kapowsin HS (North Idaho)) averaged 2.10 kills per set with an efficient .340 hitting percentage last week for MSU.
- Sophomore middle blocker
Sarah Garfield (Wichita Falls, Texas / Holliday HS) notched her seventh 10-plus kill outing with 13 against Texas Woman's on Saturday.
- Sophomore defensive specialist
Madelyn Johnson (Alvin, Texas / Alvin HS (New Mexico State)) has logged 10-or-more digs in each of her last three outings and matched a season high with 21 Saturday against Texas Woman's.
