Hunter Porter slammed down a team-high 12 kills to help Midwestern State to a 25-15, 25-19, 25-19 Lone Star Conference win over Texas A&M-Commerce Friday night at D.L. Ligon Coliseum.
The Mustangs snapped a five-game skid to improve to 7-17 on the season and to 3-10 in league play.

Midwestern used a strong defensive effort to take control of each set forcing the Lions into 26 attack errors and a .078 team attack percentage.

Madelyn Johnson paced back row efforts with 18 digs, while sophomore setter
Sarah Rosinke notched a double-double with 29 set assists and 10 digs.
Molloy polished off an outstanding night on the attack with nine kills without error in 15 attacks for a sterling .600 attack percentage, while Garfield and freshman
Meghan Bettis had five kills each.
Neka Nelson paced A&M-Commerce with 12kills while senior Amy Devault put down her 1,000th career kill on her way to a 10-kill performance.
The Lions fell to 4-20 overall and to 2-10 in LSC play.
