ON THE COURT
Midwestern State returns to Lone Star Conference play this weekend taking on Tarleton State Friday night in Stephenville before battling Angelo State Saturday in San Angelo.
 
SCOUTING THE TEXANNS
- Tarleton State has won five of its last six matches and is coming off of a three-set sweep of St. Mary's Tuesday night in San Antonio.
- The TexAnns are currently tied for third place in the LSC with Angelo State.
- TSU boasts a 6-1 home mark this season with its lone loss coming in five sets to Texas Woman's on Sept. 16.
- The TexAnns are 42-11 on their home court since the start of the 2010 season.
- Tarleton State boasts one of the best net games in NCAA Division II ranking 10th in the nation with 2.43 team blocks per set.
- Junior middle blocker Kenya Alexander rates second in NCAA Division II with 1.45 blocks per set. She has posted five or more total blocks in 13 of her 20 matches played this season with a high of 10 against Texas Wesleyan and Texas Woman's.
- Freshman outside hitter Hailey Roberts ranks third in the Lone Star Conference with 3.83 kills per set.

- Midwestern State and Tarleton State meet for the 48th time on the court Friday night in Stephenville.

- Midwestern State played its ninth five-set match Wednesday night against Lubbock Christian which is the most since the Mustangs played 10 in 2009.

- Sophomore Sarah Garfield (Wichita Falls, Texas / Holliday HS) matched a career high with 14 kills while committing just two errors in 35 attacks (.343) Wednesday night against Lubbock Christian.
- Garfield raised her average to 1.01 blocks per set by notching seven total blocks against the Lady Chaps. She boasts nine matches with at least five total blocks.
- Senior Kat Molloy (Seattle, Wash. / Graham (Wash.) Kapowsin HS (North Idaho)) delivered her fifth match with at least 10 kills Wednesday finishing with 10 kills against Lubbock Christian.
- Senior defensive specialist Casey Fletcher (Eddy, Texas / Moody HS) continues to lead the Lone Star Conference with 5.47 digs per set.
- Fletcher notched her 13th 20-dig effort finishing with 29 Wednesday against Lubbock Christian.
- Sophomore setter Sarah Rosinke (League City, Texas / Clear Springs HS) finished with her fifth double-double of the season with 44 set assists and 11 digs against Lubbock Christian.
 
MUSTANGS UNDER VENERA FLORES-STAFFORD
- Venera Flores-Stafford is in her 11th season at the helm at MSU posting a 176-165 record (.516).
- The Mustangs are 70-81 (.464) in Lone Star Conference play during the Flores-Stafford era.
