Midwestern State hosts Western New Mexico in South Central 2 Final

The Midwestern State Mustangs, the No. 2 seed in the South Central Region, host No. 3 seed Western New Mexico on Monday in the NCAA Division II Men's Tennis Championships South Central Region 2 Final at the MSU Tennis Center.  First serve is 2 p.m.

The MSU Mustangs come into the match at 18-5 overall and ranked 24th by the ITA, while the WNMU Mustangs are 16-12 and ranked 33rd by the ITA.

The two sets of Mustangs played Abilene Christian, Cameron and McMurry.  MSU won five of the six matches, losing once to Cameron in Lawton.  WNMU went 1-2 against the trio beating McMurry (7-2) and losing to Abilene Christian (1-8), both in Abilene, and falling to Cameron (5-4) in Silver City, N.M.

The winner of the match advances to face the winner of the Ouachita Baptist (Ark.) vs. Southwest Baptist (Mo.) match in the Round of 16 at  the NCAA Division II Men's Tennis Championships finals site at the Surprise Tennis and Racquet Complex in Surprise, Ariz., May 8-12.
