The Mustangs put an eight-game winning streak and a first place tie in the Lone Star Conference on the line as they play host to the Javelinas of Texas A&M-Kingsville on Saturday in Wichita Falls.
Midwestern State (15-3, 10-2) is coming off a 70-54 triumph over Incarnate Word on Wednesday. Texas A&M-Kingsville (4-14, 2-10) snapped a 13-game losing streak on Wednesday by beating Cameron 53-42 in Lawton.
Tipoff is set for 4 p.m. Saturday at Ligon Coliseum in Wichita Falls.

ABOUT THE MUSTANGS
Midwestern State is closes a three-game homestand as they hit Gerald Stockton Court at Ligon Coliseum on Thursday.
The Mustangs have won eight straight, the longest winning streak this season and tied for the fifth longest in MSU history, and are tied for first place in the Lone Star Conference.
The Mustangs are paced by the powerful duo of junior Kirsti Degelia and sophomore Andrea Carter.
Degelia, who was the Lone Star Conference Offensive Player of the Week after chalking up a career-high 27 points against Tarleton State, leads the Mustangs offensively. The honorable mention All-Lone Star Conference performer a season ago is a junior from Denton, Texas/Krum who is second in the LSC in scoring with 16.5 points a game (61st in Division II), and leads the league with 3.7 assists a contest while grabbing 4.8 rebounds a game.
Carter has won the LSC Defensive Player of the Week award three times to go with the LSC Offensive Player of the Week award she has also collected earlier this season. She has posted 10 double-doubles in 18 games this season (10th in Division II). The sophomore from Angleton is second on the team and 11th in the LSC with a 12.0 scoring average. She leads the squad, is second in the LSC and 17th nationally with 10.5 rebounds and is second in the conference with 2.5 steals a contest (75th in Division II).
Sophomore Shatoia Gober of Waco, Texas/Midway contributes 9.8 points a contest to go with her 5.7 rebounds and 1.3 steals an outing. She is also shooting 49.0 percent from the floor (71-of-145).
MSU is averaging 70.1 points with 41.1 rebounds a game. The Mustangs allow opponents 59.7 points a contest.
ABOUT THE JAVELINAS
Texas A&M-Kingsville picked up its first win since November on Wednesday night when they beat Cameron. MSU started the 13-game slide with a 75-63 win on Dec. 1, 2012.
The Javelinas of coach Michael Trujillo are 4-14 overall, 2-10 in the LSC.
Texas A&M-Kingsville is paced by senior forward Kaitlyn Lowen of Colorado Springs, Colo., who leads the squad with 9.2 points a game (21st in the LSC) to go with her 6.1 rebounds (11th in the LSC) and 1.3 steals per game.
Senior guard Breanna Gonzalez of San Antonio, Texas/Christian adds 7.8 points a contest to go with 2.9 rebounds.
Freshman guard Ashley Viera of Corpus Christi, Texas/Ray averages 7.7 points with 1.8 rebounds and leads the team with 1.2 3-point field goals a game (11th in the LSC), while junior guard Sheana Jones of Oklahoma City, Okla./Putnam City North tallies 7.4 points with 3.2 boards for the Hoggies.
The Javelinas average 57.9 points a game (eighth in the LSC), while allowing the most points in the Lone Star Conference at 67.6 ppg.
ABOUT THE SERIES
Midwestern State takes on Texas A&M-Kingsville for the 35th time when the Javelinas visit Wichita Falls on Saturday.
Midwestern State leads the series 19-15, and holds a 10-6 record against TAMUK at Ligon Coliseum.
The series is tied at 9-9 at Kingsville.
This is the second meeting of the season for MSU and TAMUK. The Mustangs claimed the first meeting this season in Kingsville, with a 75-63 win on Dec. 1, 2012.
MSU has now won the last four contests between the teams.
The Mustangs won both regular season games last season, 86-64 on Feb. 1, 2012 in Kingsville and 86-70 on Dec. 17, 2011 in Wichita Falls.
