WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- It was a nice overall kind of performance Tuesday night for No. 19-ranked Midwestern State.
All 14 players found their way into the scorebook as the Mustangs blasted Ouachita Baptist (Ark.) 73-51 to improve to 7-2 on the season.
The Mustangs compete in the South Point Holiday Hoops Classic this weekend in Las Vegas, Nev. MSU takes on West Florida on Saturday before battling California State, San Bernardino on Sunday. Both game tipoff at 3 p.m. (Central Time).
Senior guard 
Monzaigo Williams led the charge by scoring 16 of his game-high 18 points in the first half while adding six assists, four rebounds and three steals in 27 minutes.
Ouachita Baptist led by a point briefly in the first half before the Mustangs closed the half on a 10-4 run to push the advantage into double figures by a 33-23 at intermission.
Midwestern steadily pulled away in the second half stretching the lead to 28 points when 
Cory Bennett buried a 3-pointer from the corner with 2:24 to go.
Senior guard 
DeJuan Plummer pitched in 12 points to lead a strong bench effort for the Mustangs. The Mustangs' players off of the pine combined for 44 points as 
Tavarion Nix had eight points and five boards and 
Derek Kaster added eight points and inner rebounds.
Junior point guard 
Kevin Wagner added a apart with five points, four assists and two steals in 13 minutes.
Micah Delph had 17 points and seven rebounds to pace the Tigers, who fell to 2-6 on the season.
