Midwestern State closes the regular season with a pair of home matches at the MSU Soccer Field. The Mustangs take on Eastern New Mexico Friday night at 7 p.m. before playing host to Houston-Victoria for Senior Day Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m.

SCOUTING THE GREYHOUNDS
Eastern New Mexico rolls into the final weekend of the season after taking a loss and a draw in a pair of games with rival West Texas A&M last week. The Greyhounds close the campaign next Thursday at Lubbock Christian. Senior midfielder Kal Herbert leads the ENMU attack with seven goals while senior forward Eishu Kanemitsu adds five goals and five assists and senior midfielder Andy Wilkinson pitches in four goals and three assists. Senior midfielder Julian Roberts boasts a team-high nine assists. Freshman Severin Niessen has played every minute in goal for the Greyhounds this season posting a 1.46 goals against average with a .727 save percentage with three shutouts. Eastern New Mexico averages 1.94 goals per game and allows 1.50.

ABOUT THE SERIES
Midwestern State and Eastern New Mexico meet for the 21st time on the pitch Friday night at the MSU Soccer Field. The Mustangs own a commanding 17-1-2 edge in the series wich dates back to the 2004 season. MSU has won each of the 10 meetings between the programs in Wichita Falls.

LAST TIME OUT VS. EASTERN NEW MEXICO
Midwestern State dominated after the intermission hitting the crossbar twice and the post another time but settled for a scoreless draw last month in Portales. Sophomore goalkeeper Nick Petolick made five saves to secure the shutout.

SCOUTING THE JAGUARS
Houston-Victoria snapped a four-match winless streak with a 4-0 win over Huston-Tillotson back on Oct. 19 and have been idle since. The Jaguars are 4-1-2 in AII league play. Freshman forweard Daniel Lozano leads a deep offensive attack for UH-V with six goals and three assists while sophomore forward Christian Turman, junior midfielder Hector Gonzalez and junior midfielder Jhostan Padron each have tallied four goals as 14 different Jaguars have scored goals this season. Freshman goalkeeper Henrik Hundesruegge posts a 1.18 goals against average with a .763 save percentage with four shutouts.

ABOUT THE SERIES
Midwestern State and Houston-Victoria meet for the second time on the pitch Sunday afternoon at the MSU Soccer Field. The Mustangs claimed the first meeting of the series by a 4-1 margin last season.

LAST TIME OUT VS. HOUSTON-VICTORIA
Midwestern State and Houston-Victoria exchanged goals in the opening 15 minutes before the Mustangs took over for a 4-1 win on Oct. 12, 2013 in Wichita Falls. Len Smith notched his seventh goal of the season in the 4th minute before UH-V's Allan Bell delivered the equalizer. MSU responded with tallies by Ben Clarvis and VcMor Eligwe to take a 3-1 advantage into the intermission. Aaron Douthit closed out scoring by converting a penalty kick in the 78th minute.

ABOUT THE MUSTANGS
Midwestern State claimed its 10th win of the season with a 5-0 over Southern Nazarene Tuesday night in Bethany. The victory extend MSU's current unbeaten streak to 10 matches while giving the program at least 10 wins in 15 consecutive seasons. Junior forward Len Smith leads the Midwestern attack with seven goals but receives plenty of support as junior forward Dan Johns adds five goals while sophomore forward Idrissa Camara and junior midfielder Andrew Power has four goals each. Sophomore goalkeeper Nick Petolick tops NCAA Division II with a 0.32 goals against average with a stellar .929 save percentage with six shutouts. The Mustangs score 2.14 goals per game and allow 0.86.

LAST TIME OUT
Senior forward VcMor Eligwe scored twice to lead Midwestern State to a 5-0 win over Southern Nazarene Tuesday night in Bethany, Okla. The Mustangs dominated the run of play with a 33-9 shot advantage while placing 12 on target. Senior midfielder B.A. Catney converted a penalty kick in the second minute of the match and sophomore midfielder Idrissa Camara knocked in his fourth goal of the campaign to give the Mustangs a 4-0 lead at the break. Darin Kruzich closed out scoring with a tallly in the 51st minute. Sophomore goalkeeper Nick Petolick made six saves to notch his sixth clean sheet of the season.

MIDWESTERN IN NATIONAL STATISTICAL RANKINGS
Sophomore goalkeeper Nick Petolick leads NCAA Division II in goals against average (0.27) and save percentage (.939) while ranking 73rd in saves per game (4.43). Junior defender Chase Robertson rank 64th in assists per game (0.4). Junior forward Len Smith is 82nd in goals per game (0.54), 87th in total goals (7.0) and 99th in points per game (1.23).

MUSTANGS IN THE NATIONAL RANKINGS
Midwestern State remained seventh in the National Soccer Coaches' Association of America Division II Poll.

MSU IN THE REGIONAL RANKINGS
Midwestern State moved up one spot to No. 2 in the latest NCAA Division II South Central Region rankings released earlier this week. The Mustangs trail Colorado Mines while St. Edward's (Texas), Regis (Colo.) and Metro State (Colo.) rounds out the rankings at Nos. 3-5. The top three teams advance to the NCAA Division II postseason which kicks off the weekend of Nov. 14-16 at campus sites.
