SCOUTING THE AGGIES
Cameron snapped a five-match skid with a 3-0 sweep of St. Gregory's (Okla.) Tuesday night in Lawton. Sophomore OH Kelle Carver leads a pack of four Aggies averaging more than two kills per set with a 3.42 kills per set which ranks second in the Lone Star Conference. Sophomore OH Kat Evans adds 2.38 ups followed by freshman MH Kelsie Coplen (2.33 ups) and redshirt-freshman OH Grace Newkirk (2.15 kps).  Freshman S Kayla Hebert directs the CU attack with 8.85 assists per set to help the Aggies to a .133 team hitting percentage. Sophomore DS Lauren Acuna leads back row play with 4.66 digs per set.

ABOUT THE MUSTANGS
Midwestern State searches for its first Lone Star Conference win Saturday afternoon at Aggie Gym. The Mustangs have lost their last six matches after opening the campaign winning seven of their first eight. Senior middle blocker Caitlin Wallace leads the MSU attack putting down 2.83 kills per set while ranking second in the LSC at attack percentage at .353. Sophomore outside hitter Marissa Olivares (2.29 kps) and senior outside hitter Beatriz Villalba (2.00) give the Mustangs three hitting options averaging better than two kills per set. Freshman setter Sarah Rosinke (6.35 assists per set), who missed the last five matches due injury, looks to return Saturday against the Aggies. The MSU offense rated near the top of the league in kills per set and attack percentage prior to her absence. Wallace (0.87 bps) along with freshman Sarah Garfield (0.84 bps) and junior Kaitlyn Molloy (0.71) give the Mustangs solid play at the net while junior Casey Fletcher (4.39 dos), sophomore Nicole Marzik (3.06 dos) and redshirt freshman Madelyn Johnson (2.68) lead the back row effort.

ABOUT THE SERIES
Midwestern State and Cameron meet for the 47th time on the court Saturday afternoon at Aggie Gym. CU owns a 30-16 edge in the series and is 16-5 against the Mustangs on its home court. However, Midwestern has won six of the last seven matches between the two programs including a sweep last season.

THE LSC RACE
Midwestern State (0-6) closes out the first half of Lone Star Conference play with matches at Cameron and Texas A&M-Kingsville. The Mustangs have their work cut out for a return to postseason tournament play as the team stands five games back in the loss column to Texas A&M-Commerce and Eastern New Mexico . Cameron is in a similar position at 0-5. Currently, Angelo State, Texas Woman's and Tarleton State sit atop the league with matching 3-0 marks followed by West Texas A&M (2-0), Texas A&M-Commerce (2-1), Eastern New Mexico (2-1), Texas A&M-Kingsville (1-3), Cameron (0-5) and MSU (0-6). The top six teams qualify for the 2013 LSC Postseason Tournament set for Nov. 21-23 at the site of the regular season champion.

Midwestern State dropped three Lone Star Conference home matches against Eastern New Mexico, Texas Woman's and Texas A&M-Commerce to extend its losing streak to six matches... The Mustangs fell to 7-7 on the season after starting the season winning seven of their first eight... MSU has dropped its last 14 sets after going up 2-1 at No. 9 Angelo State on Sep. 20... The Mustangs hit .200 as a team in seven of its first eight matches and has hit no better than .154 in any contest during the six-match skid... Wallace moved into seventh on MSU's all-time lists with 240 total blocks and sixth with 205 block assists... Freshman middle blocker Sarah Garfield has started each of the last five matches for MSU. The Holliday High product averaged 2.12 kills and 0.75 blocks per set in the Mustangs' three matches last week... Senior Brandi Flores came on to put down four kills in just her second set of the season Tuesday against Eastern New Mexico...
