WICHITA FALLS, Texas - Midwestern State dominated the battle in the front court to pound Eastern New Mexico 89-69 Wednesday night at D.L. Ligon Coliseum.
The win extended the third longest home court winning streak to 38 games as the Mustangs won their eighth consecutive game over the Greyhounds to improve to 14-3 on the season and to 2-1 in the LSC South.
Senior guard
Chris Hagan was efficient in pelting the nets for a game-high 22 points on 7-of-13 shooting including a trio of 3-pointers, but the conference's leading scorers was hardly the story for the Mustangs.
Midwestern dominated the glass by a 47-20 keyed as the Mustangs' forward brigade all turned in solid performances.

David Terrell needed just 16 minutes to post a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds while fellow starter
Charlie Logan pounded the glass with six points and 10 rebounds.

Darrick Thomas connected on 7-of-11 shots for 15 points and blocked two shots in 20 minutes off of the bench while junior
Thomas Colbert pitched in 10 points and five rebounds in 15 minutes in a reserve role.
Hagan ignited a 10-0 run with a 3-pointer with 5:23 to go before halftime as the Mustangs broke open a 2-point game to lead by 18 at intermission then led by as many as 27 points in the second half.
Junior guard
Michael Loyd dropped in 10 points to go along with four assists and three steals.
Eastern New Mexico, which had its four-game winning streak snapped to fall to 7-8 overall and to 2-1 in the LSC South, was paced by Stefan Mirabal.
The junior guard finished with 18 points to lead a trio of Greyhound in double figures and was joined by Victor Reid and Tyler Jefferson with 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Midwestern State takes on No. 9 Incarnate Word Saturday night at McDermott Center in San Antonio. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
The Cardinals fell 69-66 Wednesday night at Tarleton State.
