For the Record

The Mustangs can set a school record by extended their unbeaten streak to 23 games Friday night against Colorado State-Pueblo.
MSU last suffered defeat at the MSU Soccer Field to West Texas A&M (1-0) in the regular season finale in 2007, but recovered to battle Sonoma State to a 2-2 draw in the NCAA Division II national quarterfinals before advancing to the Final Four on penalty kicks.
The Mustangs were nearly perfect on the home pitch in 2008 rolling to a 10-0 mark while outscoring the opposition by a 24-1 margin.
Midwestern posted an 8-0-2 home record in 2009 with draws against West Texas A&M and Texas A&M International.
The Mustangs opened the 2010 campaign with a 2-0 win over the Dustdevils last week at the MSU Soccer Field.
Who's Hot
Newcomers Sam Broadbent, David Freeland and VcMor Eligwe all hit the board for the first time for MSU in Thursday night's 2-0 win over Texas A&M International.
Broadbent, a redshirt junior from Fleet, England, and Freeland, a junior from Odessa, each tallied goals while Eligwe notched a pair of assists in his first collegiate contest.
Senior Raul Herrera inched closer to MSU's all-time shutout mark by recording his 14th blanking against Texas A&M International. He needs five more to match former ISAA Goalkeeper of the Year Karl Burwitz, who had 19 from 1987-90.
