ADA, Okla. - A pair of 9-7 doubles' wins propelled Midwestern State to a 6-3 win over East Central (Okla.) Wednesday afternoon at the Ada Tennis Center.

MSU's Carlos Bataller and Luke Joyce edged ECU's Stefan Stein and Samuel Moore at No. 2, while Chad Meeks and Daniel McMullen defeated Carlos Muro and Mitch Sholty to give the Mustangs a 2-1 lead heading into singles' play.

Midwestern claimed wins at Nos. 2, 3, 4 and 5 as Vjekoslav Stipanic beat Stein (4-6, 6-3, 6-1), Bataller upended Samuel Moore (6-2, 6-0), McMullen rolled Dai Edwardes-Evans (6-2, 7-5) and Joyce defeated Muro (6-4, 6-4).

The win was the fifth-straight for the Mustangs, who improved to 13-6.

Midwestern State plays host to Cameron Monday afternoon at the MSU Tennis Center. First serve is set for 1 p.m.
