No. 12 Cameron edges No. 29 Midwestern, 5-3

LAWTON, Okla. - No. 23 Midwestern State charged to a 2-1 lead through doubles, but No. 12 Cameron rallied with four singles wins to send the Mustangs to their third-straight loss by a 5-3 margin Monday afternoon at the Cameron Tennis Center.

MSU, which slipped to 8-8 on the season, plays host to St. Edward's and Incarnate Word this weekend to close out the regular season.

Vjekoslav Stipanic and Octavian Dinuta defeated Cristian Easton and Saman Samii 8-6 at No. 2 doubles, while Carlos Battaler and Chad Meeks edged Carlos Viscarra and Daniel Bonamigo 9-7 at No. 3 doubles to give the Mustangs a 2-1 lead.

Bataller, who upped his singles' mark to 11-4, gave the Mustangs their lone singles win by rolling Diego Trojano 6-3, 6-2 at No. 4, but the Aggies claimed straight-set wins in four of the five other singles' matchups as Midwestern's Daniel McMullan and Samii were locked in split-set battle when CU claimed its fifth win to clinch the victory.

Cameron improves to 14-6 on the season.
