LAWTON, Okla. - Midwestern State rallied from a seventh inning deficit to take a 7-3 win over Cameron in Lone Star Conference North Division play Wednesday afternoon at Cameron Field.
The Mustangs, who improved to 23-10 on thes eason and 9-4 in divisional play, got a leadoff home run from
Lauren Craig in the seventh inning to tie the game before rallying for four runs on four hits to put away the game in the top of the eighth inning.
Katie Petersen went the distance to improve to 11-4, but didn't escape damage from a strong Cameron lineup as she allowed three runs - all earned - on eight hits with 11 strikeouts and one walk.
The Aggies got a two-run homer from Jenna Boren in the third inning and a solo blast from Megan Young in the fifth to take a 3-2 lead into the seventh inning.

Maranda Bishop, who drew a leadoff walk, to give the Mustangs a 1-0 lead.
The Mustangs rallied to knot the game at 2-2 when
Alyson Reynolds connected for her sixth home run of the season. The sophomore from Keller paced the Mustangs by going 3-for-3 at the dish with a pair of RBIs to raise her season average to .404.
MSU tied the game on Craig's third homer of the season in the seventh before putting the game away in the eighth.
Once again, it was Craig who did the honors of giving the Mustangs the lead for good when she sent a single to right field to plate
Miranda Jarrell who had come on to run for
Jessica Rodriguez. Reynolds would add another RBI before Petersen knifed a two-run double to center field to push the advantage to 7-3.
Ashton McBride took the loss for Cameron to fall to 8-10 on the season after allowing six runs - all earned - on eight hits while striking out one and walking three. Former Burkburnett star Carrie Harvey allowed Petersen's two-run double and was officially charged for a run on two hits in 2/3 of an inning of work.
Rodriguez and Craig added two hits each for the Mustangs, who recorded at least 10 hits for the 16th time this season.
Cameron fell to 23-16 overall and 8-5 in the Lone Star Conference North Division.
