Carlos Bataller fought for an 8-5 win over Ryan Field and Adam Bales of Rockhurst at No. 3 doubles Wednesday afternoon at the Loyola Park Tennis Center.
But that's all the No. 29 Mustangs could manage in a 5-1 loss to Rockhurst.
The Hawks (6-1) rallied for wins at the top two doubles' positions with Zach Newell/Ben Newell edging

Rockhurst rolled to wins in each of the three completed singles' contests as Baravalle beat Stipanic 2-6, 6-2, 6-0 at No. 1, Klintcharov defeated Vilarinho 6-2, 6-3 at No. 2 and Ben Newell rolled past McMullan 4-6, 6-1, 6-1 at No. 4.
The Mustangs were on serve or leading the remaining matches as Bataller led Zach Newell 6-4, 4-1 at No. 3, Dinuta was knotted 5-5 with Field at No. 5 and Meeks was up a set on Bales 6-3 at No. 6.
Midwestern State completes its Spring Break sweep through Midwest Thursday when it battles Northwest Missouri State.
