ABILENE, Texas - Shawna Hines erupted for 14 kills and eight blocks to lead Abilene Christian to a 25-21, 25-19, 25-17 win over Midwestern State in Lone Star Conference play Thursday night.
The junior middle blocker hit .667 and was errorless in 21 attacks to lift the Wildcats to their ninth-straight home win as ACU maintained a perfect record at Moody Coliseum.
Midwestern State suffered a sweep for the third-straight match to fall to 9-20 on the season and to 5-3 in conference play, while ACU improved to 21-5 and 7-1.
The Mustangs conclude their three-match road swing Saturday at Angelo State. First service is set for 2 p.m. in Junell Center/Stephens Arena.
MSU continued to struggle with the attack with 28 kills while committing 22 errors to hit .046 as a team after slumping to a .033 kill rate in Tuesday night's 3-0 loss at Dallas Baptist.

Kiara Jordan led back row efforts with 18 digs and White added 11, while Bayer had three blocks at the net.
Jordan Schilling notched a double-double for ACU with 12 kills and 17 digs, while Ijeoma Moronu had 38 set assists and 14 digs.
