For the record
Midwestern State (6-0-2) has used its best start in school history to claim its highest national ranking as the Mustangs bring a No. 10 NSCAA/adidas national ranking into tonight's LSC opener against Texas Woman's University.
The Mustangs are unbeaten in their last 15 regular season games dating back to a 2-1 loss to TWU last season on Oct. 12, 2008.
MSU has also won its last nine matches at the MSU Soccer Field.
Texas Woman's (2-6) comes in a four-game skid as the Pioneers have been shutout in each of those contests.
Who's hot
Midwestern State's goalkeeper duo of Mallory Whitworth and Ashley Meek have combined to help the Mustangs to tie a school-record four shutouts and haven't let in a goal in the last 467:49 of clock time.
