WICHITA FALLS, Texas – No. 30 Cameron edged No. 32 Midwestern State 6-3 Tuesday afternoon at the MSU Tennis Courts.
The Mustangs, who fell to 9-6, were led by sophomore
Collean Kinser who accounted for two of the MSU's three wins.
Kinser claimed her fifth-straight singles win by taking Cameron's Carolina Mullor 7-6, 4-6, 6-4 at the No. 5 position after teaming with
Desre Tarr at No. 3 doubles to claim an 8-4 decision over Kim Romero and Sophia Rich.
The Mustangs came out of doubles down 2-1 after Cameron's Viviana Seca and Megan de Blonk rallied from a 6-5 deficit to upend
Cristina Oliveira and
Faye D'Hamecourt 8-6 at No. 2.
Ann-Sophie Indeherberge claimed the Mustangs lone other decision, defeating Romero in No. 2 singles 6-2, 6-4.
The Mustangs travel to Dallas on Saturday for a tri-meet with Dallas Baptist and Northeastern State.
