WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- The Midwestern State University women's tennis team beat the rain to upend the University of Nebraska at Kearney 5-0 Friday afternoon at the MSU Tennis Courts.

Brenna Jackson and Michelle Beukes thumped Callie Erickson and McKenna Irwin 8-1 in No. 1 doubles to lead to a 3-0 sweep for MSU in doubles competition.

No. 2 Faye D'Hamecourt and Jessica Odorizzi and No. 3 Cilia Muller and Michelle Watson also claimed doubles wins before Camila Mirand and Beukes closed out the match with singles wins at No. 5 and 6, respectively.

The Mustangs return to action at Hardin-Simmons next Tuesday in Abilene.
