DURANGO, Colo. -- The Midwestern State University men's soccer team advanced to the NCAA Division II Midwest Region Final with a 2-0 win Friday against the University of the Incarnate Word.
With the win, MSU has now beaten Incarnate Word three straight times in the NCAA tournament.
The game was a scoreless match until the Mustangs
Obed Becerra, scored his fourth goal of the season, off a penalty kick with 33 minutes to play in the second half.Â
Midwestern scored again six minutes later, this time off the foot of
Daniel Brown. Brown, who received a cross pass from
Scott Leonard, put in the back of the net for his seventh goal of the season.

Jeremy Turner picked up his sixth shut out of the season, saving four of the 12 shots he faced. He improves his record to 11-1-0 on the season.
Midwestern will face No. 2 Fort Lewis (Colo.) in the Regional Championship on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. FLC defeated Metro State (Colo.) 3-0 to advance.
