DURANT, Okla. – The Midwestern State University volleyball team kept it's Lone Star Conference Tournament chances alive Saturday by dismantling Southeastern Oklahoma State 3-0 in LSC North action at Bloomer Sullivan Gymnasium.
MSU (14-13, 4-6) took the match 30-23, 30-28, 30-26. The victory avenges an earlier loss to SOSU (19-10, 5-5).
The Mustangs were paced by the outstanding play of freshman
Jessica Ransom of Wichita Falls/High, who hit .516 for the match with 17 kills. Senior
Lacey Lanier of Crandall chalked up 16 kills, with junior
Krissa Johnson of Denver City adding 10 kills and two blocks.
Windthorst sophomore
Allison Schreiber picked up 52 assists.
Southeastern was paced by All-America senior Olivia Franceskini who picked up 23 kills in the match.
MSU is in action again on Tuesday night at Texas Woman's University at 7 p.m., needing a win to stay alive in the race for a spot in the LSC Tournament next week.
