Izzy Carrillo joined the staff as a Graduate Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach in 2024.

Carrillo, who is working toward a master’s degree in exercise physiology, assists in training football and leads training for women’s soccer as well as men’s and women’s tennis.

She has also programmed strength and conditioning training for volleyball and women’s basketball. She led training for cheer in the fall of 2024 and softball in the spring of 2025.

The native of Amarillo, Texas, earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Sports and Exercise Science at West Texas A&M and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a 4.0 GPA in May of 2024.

Carrillo played basketball at UT Dallas in the 2021-22 season.
