DuMaurier Jordan

DuMaurier Jordan played cornerback for two seasons at Abilene Christian and spent time with the San Antonio Talons of the Arena Football League before he turned to coaching in 2014.

Prior to joining the staff at Midwestern State, Jordan was responsible for coaching and mentoring cornerbacks and safeties as the defensive backs coach at Ottawa University Arizona for two seasons in Surprise, Arizona. Jordan evaluated the opponents passing game and drew opponent scout cards. He also coached each unit of special teams. Jordan coached Eric Holman, who was named first team All-Sooner Athletic Conference. He also guided Brajhon Crenshaw, a second-team All-Sooner Athletic Conference honoree.

Jordan had similar duties for two seasons at San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton, California, where Tre’ Wortham was a first-team All-Valley Conference member as a freshman and sophomore under the tutelage of Jordan.

Jordan’s coaching career began in 2014 at Franklin High School in Elk Grove, California. Jordan was the secondary coach and responsible for coaching the returners on special teams. Jordan game planned and aided in film breakdown with the defense.

In 2017, Jordan was the junior varsity head coach at Franklin High School. He worked as the defensive coordinator, developed practice plans and worked with parents on organizing fundraising meetings. His team finished 8-2 and was second in the league.

Jordan and his wife Brittney are proud parents to daughters Ava (8) and Nora (5).
