Clyde Logan

Clyde Logan joined the Midwestern State staff in 2025 after working two seasons as the special teams coordinator and defensive backs coach at Western New Mexico.

Logan served as the defensive backs, special teams coordinator, and placement coordinator at Southwestern Community College for 10 seasons, and he was the defensive coordinator for the 2022 season. Logan is a native of Charlotte, North Carolina, where he joined the United States Marine Corps out of high school.

During his four years in the service, he played three years on the Marine Corps all-star football team.

He began his collegiate career at Mt. San Jacinto College playing under CCCAA Hall-of-Fame coach Ed Carberry. He then transferred to Idaho State on a full scholarship to play wide receiver.

Logan was an All-Conference wide receiver at Idaho State and an All-State defensive back in junior college in California.

Logan played wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals of the National Football League, and he played professionally in Europe. Logan was a standout player in the German Football League.

Logan earned his bachelor’s degree in sociology at Idaho State and continued his education at Concordia-Irvine, where he received his master’s degree in coaching and athletics administration. He also earned a master’s in exercise science.

Logan resides with his wife Inish and two sons Zion and Zekiel.
